Company Features
1. Established years ago, MingfaTech Manufacturing Limited is counted among one of the most reputed manufacturers and exporters of track lighting kits .
2. Our factory is equipped with a well-trained and qualified workforce. They offer a wealth of experience to ensure high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

I bought three of these kits to have three 17-feet long rows in our living room spaced 6 feet apart. These lights are awesome for the money. They give off a nice glow, not too bright unless you're looking directly at one, which is typical of most bulbs anyway. Anchoring is not a problem if you don't tighten the anchors too much. Just screw them tight. There will be a protruding lip on the anchor, but the washer is cut to fit over the anchor lip and lie flush on the wall. Another reviewer made the mistake of trying to countersink the anchor. Don't do that. Also, measure, measure, and measure some more before you go drilling. In some spots I could skip the anchors and screw right into wood studs. Just use a small drill bit (smaller than the threads on the screws) to check for studs. If no stud, use an anchor. When putting it all together, take your time and make sure all your hardware screws finish up pointing in the same directions (for looks). And don't over tighten the cables; just tighten until there's no sag in them. Hanging these lights requires a well thought out process before you get started. After you get the parts and instructions out and think about it, think about it, and think some more...then measure, measure, and measure until you're certain of the placement. If you're the kind of person that thinks 1/8th of an inch doesn't matter, have someone else do it for you. These lights are artistically symmetrical, so things need to be pretty exact for it to look right. All in all, we are VERY happy with this purchase. We like to be different in our home interior design. These lights allow my artist wife to accentuate different areas (and art) in the room by simply swiveling the light heads.
When paired with a proper dimmer, this product adds mood and ambiance to a room. Light can be projected in multiple directions to highlight areas/items of your choosing.
This worked out great in my foyer. The kit contained everything I needed. I did substitute a different type of anchor than the sheetrock screws, as my walls are plaster. It was easy to install this. I did substitute LED blubs for the included Halogen, as an energy saver.
Did ceiling to ceiling mount and the sag is minimal. I swapped out the halogen lights for LED and it works great
So this will be my first review on Amazon, and I have to say after doing my homework I think I got exactly what I was looking for and perfect for someone with my skill level (basic to limited electrical knowledge and experience). The package includes everything you need (lights, cables, wall mounts, and transformer). What you will need separately will be screw drivers, wire strippers, wire caps, drills, and if you're not satisfied with the screws that come with the package, you can buy wood screws or drywall mounts. My dad and I started the project around 11am and we finished around 4pm. It took a while for us because we had to run electrical wire from the top of the wall down to a power outlet at the bottom AND hook up a wireless power switchbox to the entire setup. If you're only installing the hardware, it shouldn't take more than 2.5 hours. The bulbs that come with it ARE halogen however you can replace them with LED's at your desire. I plan to run these for a while and see how bad the power bill is. I found some relatively affordable options on ebay and Amazon that I'll probably look into at a later date. I will say this: for halogen bulbs, the 5 lights do look a little more dim than I expected halogens to be. Overall, the instructions were easy, the materials were exactly as described and to sum it up, you get what you pay for: an easy DIY cable light system. I would recommend again.
Looks good, easy install, but I'm using it on about a 19' long ceiling/-mount run and the wires sag a bit and the end mounts tend to fold in towards center as you tighten to remove the sag. All-in-all, they look great!
Relatively easy installation, not the highest quality fittings but sufficient. Looks very nice once installed and you're looking at it several feet away.
Easy to install, bright moveable lights allow me to re-position them as I like. Good value for money. I recommend.
I have bought three of these for two different houses and love them. They are so sleek looking -- modern, simple. Everyone thinks they must be really expensive (ha!). It's a complete set, which is great, and they're versatile enough to be installed in lots of different applications (e.g., pitched roofline, etc.).. There are two reasons that I'm giving this four stars instead of five. The first is that the light isn't very bright -- as with most track systems, these small bulbs are not very powerful, and the light doesn't "spread" well. I used to have this over my dining table with no other lighting available in the dining area, and it just didn't have the power to really light up the medium-sized area. (We recently moved, and in our new home, I bought two of these and installed them side by side, and now they're great!) The second reason I didn't give this a five is that the wires are starting to droop a bit, and my electrician can't figure out how to get the slack out after several attempts. (This could well be user error, but he does a ton of work in our house and is pretty good.) I would recommend these over and over again, especially at this price point!
Install was pretty easy. Only issues: 1. The drywall anchors aren't great. If you try to countersink them it just mangles the drywall and they pull right out. I solved this by simply using a wood screw and attaching to a stud. 2. Where I did use the anchors, I needed a drywall screw to attach the mounting post as the screws they provided were to small in diameter and had much to fine of a thread pitch. So two easily-solved (wood screws ftw) installation issues later, I have a great looking set of cable lights. They're quite bright and have a clean finish.
I bought this light kit in 2010, and love it. It it looks great strung between two parallel skylights over my desk, where it is the primary light source at night. The transformer went out this month (September 2014), but I still give it 5 stars because I called the main number on the tiella.com website and, the same day, they mailed me a new transformer (actually the entire "hub" assembly). No charge, not even shipping. SUPER impressive support!
Very nice track light head! I bought 15 of them and they all work great! Love it!
Replaced some old track lights. These worked great!
I saved $860.00 with this kit! I had a quote from a lighting designer for $1,000 to do a cable rail system in my foyer exactly like this one -- and that was just for the parts. A friend suggested that I get the Tech Lighting 5 Light Cable Kit since it was the exact same thing the lighting designer was going to charge me an arm and a leg for and I am so glad I did! I could have installed this myself after reading the very through instruction manual, but instead, I had my electrician install it. It took him less than an hour and my foyer hallway looks amazing! The lights are very low wattage and are a bit warmer than I expected, but all and all a great find and a great product! So glad to find this on Amazon!

Going from 100w to 20w or less (dimmed) is going green. The included wires can be stretched a bit more than 20 feet. I only needs 14', wire is easily cut to length. Getting wire taught takes little doing but not to difficult to do, I have no droop at all, looks very professional, most please with my purchase ( and upgraded bulbs )
xa0The stock bulbs are very dim and don’t provide enough light. I swapped them out with LED bulbs from Home Depot and BOOM... tons of light and looks great. Only problem was that the replacement LED bulbs cost $9.00 each. So be prepared to spend another $45.00 in bulbs if you want it to look like my. I bought two of these kits and spent $90.00 total on 10 bulbs from Home Depot. The material in the kit was high quality. The instructions show 3 options for mounting the fixture but they only provide parts to complete 2 out of the 3 installation options which was slightly disappointing. All and all, great product for the cost. You would spend 3 times this if you were to buy them from an outlet store
This lighting kit is AWESOME! We attached two of the kits together and switched the halogen bulbs(we didn't care for the lighting that was cast above the lights onto the ceiling due to the glass back bulb, plus we wanted LEDs) out for dimmable LEDs and it works flawlessly. However, you cannot only use one kit and put 5 LEDs in. There is not enough wattage draw on the transformer to work and dim properly. If you are going to install LEDs you have to draw a minimum of 40 Watts and LEDs individually pull less than 8. So you have to add more to the circuit to pull enough power. If you have a basic understanding of electrical installation you can install and assemble this kit. Another potential draw back is if you have to turn the cables or do anything other than a straight line. You will have to get creative to make a turn happen unless you actually want to spend the money to buy the hardware for making the cables turn. Its not cheap! But a couple trips to the hardware store and some screw eyes and you are in business! It looks professional and clean. We get a ton of compliments. These are the LEDs we used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016PD5NAW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Absolutely love this light. I get lots of comments on it. Great way to light hard to illuminate areas. With one fixture I was able to illuminate two cross halls, with three doorways, and two sets of stairs- a flight going down to the basement and an open flight going up to the loft of my cabin. They are unique that you can accurately aim each one of the 5 fixtures. I traded out the halogen bulbs for 60 watt equivalent LEDS that are 4 watts each, so the whole unit runs on 20 watts and perfectly illuminates a large and very complex area. Perfect.
Nice product. Instructions were a bit murky especially the figures which caused confusion but I was able to figure it out and installed correctly. Wires were plenty long and cutting them was very easy. My application involved one side being attached to the wall and other side to the ceiling. It is the ceiling side that was confusion. The longer brackets that wires pass through when installed to ceiling it only comes down two to 3 inches and the wire end bends at 90 degree after final install. I recommend the instructions should be made a bit clear. Have not installed the LED bulbs yet. Those are cheap on eBay compared to Amazon.
This is a great solution if you don’t want to build a box or rip into drywall to hide your wiring — flaunt it...right out in the open. Buck naked wires — beautiful! It’s a 105 W power supply, FYI, so I was able to rescue some additional wire at a construction site trash bin and add a second row of lighting by swapping out the five halogen bulbs for ten LEDs. The only additional cost was for the LEDs, two cheap turnbuckles, and four heavy screw-eues. Sweet!
Great quality and value, but couldnt get two sets to work on one switch due to transformer. If you want to install more than one set on one circuit, you may need to hire an electrician. Otherwise, gave off good light and look great!
I needed a lighting option in my kitchen. I have a contemporary with high ceilings. Needed a light at about 8' above my eating table. I saw this as an option. I mounted it wall to wall - about 16' long. I think The Lights are nice , My wife would disagree....The lights do dim the further away they get from the transformer - Thats the problem with low voltage lighting. I was a bit bummed with a couple of things: heat shields are a bit flimsy, the transformer cover is large and kinda looks terrible. You have to mount it very close to the two wires that hold the lights. 12" is the max distance recommended. So you have this bulbous half sphere cover plate mounted on the wall next to the wires( covers the transformer. ) The anchors that are supplied are weak - replace stat or your wires will loosen up. The light is not as bright as i would have hoped. If i had to do it over again, i would not have purchased .
These lights are made by Tech Lighting. We have 2 of those systems. This is their budget line. One Tech Lighting light fixture costs more than this whole system. Don't think you are getting same quality but from 5-8' away they look much the same. Corners are cut with the transformer (tiny and low quality), smaller cable gauge, tabs on the lamp ring you need to bend in place as opposed to threaded rings, etc. Relatively generous 20x2' cables provided plus extra critical screws. Turnbuckles may be on the short side to create a taut cable. It took me two attempts with each cable to take up enough slack. Cables are provided with soldered ends. They unravel when cut so you may want to have something on hand to seal cut wires. Replaced the halogen lamps with LEDs (Velouer MR16 LED Light Bulbs) for great output within the transformer limit (100w). The bulbs are held in place by set screws as opposed to the press/fit typical with MR16 lights. The hex key provided with the package did not fit the lamp set screws. Fortunately, I had a .050" key on hand. Hence, deducted 1 star.
We needed lighting in a cabin we have up in the sierra mountains. This produce worked perfectly to anchor from wall to wall into the knotty pine wood and also install the transformer. The lighting has been great and also works on a dimmer switch.
Easy install easy change out to LED lights warm lighting in my office, if u have anything to highlight in the room this is your product
Running led replacement lamps may be unsuccessful. I bought two kits, and now I'm easily running (10) good quality 4.5w led bulbs on one of the transformers (45w total) There is an occasional flicker, as the electronic transformer struggles to sense a draw from the bulbs. It's just a slight flicker, yet it bugs me and is bad for the leds. Does the same for both transformers, or when only running 5 on each circuit. This is solved by replacing one of the lamps with a regular halogen, or a resistor I bought for a buck that wastes energy, gets really hot and seems hazardous. A friend in the business told me that I could purchase a better transformer specifically for leds. Cheers.
Everything I hoped it would be! We installed it between dark beams, love the shadows that reflect on the pine tongue & groove ceiling. A very stylish touch to the otherwise rustic A-frame ski chalet.
I hope that I can save others the two days of work and frustration I encountered when trying to get these lights to work properly with LED lamps. Bottom line - this is a great value for a fixture that looks identical to $700 cable light sets. But as part of that compromise, you get an adequate (read- cheap) transformer that is meant for halogen lamps ONLY and does not play well with LEDs at all. Very short version of the story - I just finished spending THREE days to get 4 sets of these set up in the configuration I wanted, that is with LEDs and dimmable. I first tried the fixtures using the Sunthin 5w MR16 bulbs and experienced terrible flickering. OK - reading manufacturer's comments, transformer was designed for 50w minimum load. So I connected two sets of lights in parallel, giving 50w total load, and still flickering terribly. Also did not work at all with several dimmers tested (Lutron Diva, Caseta, and Maestro). Then, thinking maybe it was the bulbs, switched to the Jacky LED 4 watt MR16s. Same flickering. Then, after reading some people seemed to have luck with the 7.5w MR16s, I tried those. Still flickering - even when 2 sets powered in paralled by one transformer (total load over 70w). Realizing this transformer was NEVER intended to work with any LEDs natively, I started considering other options. Not wanting to use halogens at all, I realized I needed to scrap the transformers and treat these 4 lights like two big sets of LED strip lights and power them from a separate transformer. Ripped out all 4 transformers from the cap, wired the 12v input directly to 2 sets of lights in parallel. Decided to get the best magetic LV LED transformers available - LEDWholesalers 60w units for each pair of lights. My final setup: 120v into Magnetic LV dimmer (still testing - Lutron Diva causes transformers to cut out occasionally at full power, others not doing this). Output of MLV dimmer switches into the LEDWholesalers 60w transformers. 12v out of those runs to input of first set of cable lights. Output wire from this light runs to 2nd cable light wired in parallel. This setup has added over $300 to my total cost for these 4 sets of lights, but it has finally given me LED lighting from them that has no flicker and dims properly. I see that a lot of people are buying these along together with the Sunthin or JackyLED lamps, presuambly thinking they work together properly out of the box. I am writing this to save you the time I wasted experimenting with these - they do NOT work with any MR16 LED lamps currently sold by Amazon and WILL flicker badly unless you relplace the cheap transformer included with a high-end dimmable transformer made especially for LED lamps. The end result I am very happy with, and the lights look great, but I wish it was made more clear that LED lamps do not work at all with this unit's included transformer.
Great value. The lighting is nice. It's a warm color. Not too bright. I put them in a large closet.
Fantastic product!! We installed with led light guts and works perfect
These kits are outstanding and look like a million dollars I have purchased 10 of these kits for my home. The local lighting store wanted 3200 dollars for the lights alone , for the kitchen I did the kitchen with 3 of these kits . The customer service was excellent also and was one of the big reasons I decided to buy from this vendor
No issues so far
The installation process wasn't terribly complicated, but I did have help. Looks amazing! And for the price....it's a no brainer. Love it. My wife loves it. Everyone who sees it loves it.
Great addition to a hallway: very minimal yet stylish.
Bought these to replace the old lights that came with my house. I love that they are LED and fully integrated and I won't have to buy replacement bulbs again. The light is much brighter and cleaner looking than my old lights. 1 of the 4 lights in my package did not work, but the seller responded to my message and had a replacement in the works within an hour.
What is there to dislike, apart from inadequate instructions?
I purchased 2 sets to use on a 13' beam because I wanted more than 5 lights and to purchase each light individually is ridiculously expensive. I used all 10 lights and I love it! I followed the advice of others about how to replace the bulbs with LED equivalents to be used with a dimmer. I purchased an LED-compatible dimmer at Lowe's and I replaced 9 of the 10 fixtures with 4W LED's (Torchstar) and left one with the 20W halogen bulb. This provides 56 watts being used on the fixture and allows the dimmer to work properly. Installation was, for the most part, easy but if you've never replaced a fixture before, I would not recommend starting with this one. You have to get things level and measured off properly and doing this over a long span can be a little trying if you don't know what you are doing. The lights are adjustable to be pointed in any direction. I really liked the look of the turnbuckles provided but there are only 2 provided with each kit. The other 2 ends are just 1-piece stobs (which are shown in the picture). This is fine if you are going from a ceiling mount on one side to a wall mount on the other but I do not like the idea of using 2 different ends if you are going wall to wall or ceiling to ceiling. This, of course, is just a personal preference on looks. I used turnbuckles on all connections and am happy with the look.
We love this light fixture, but the two cables that came with the kit were both just short of 10' in length. The description implies that the light fixture is 20' long, we didn't realize they meant there were two 10' cables for each side of the light bulbs, making the entire length of the fixture about 9 feet long once installed. Our 24' living room looks awful stupid with only the right side of the room being lit. Returning.
I needed replacement accent heads for this fixture because previous owners of my home melted a couple of them by using higher wattage bulbs. The price of just one single accent head was shocking. For slightly more, I purchased this entire fixture just for the heads. It worked, but I wish it wasn't the way I had to do it. Don't use more than the 20w bulbs or you'll be paying for it. Yikes.
We are so happy with this kit. We were able to afford the cable lighting that my husband and I hoped to have "some day". Custom assemblies and other kits are so much more pricey. We bought 2 for our kitchen. After we removed the drop ceiling, we discovered a beam that can't be removed, so we kept the soffits. The cables run between them on either side of the beam. They cast unique light/shadows on the ceiling. In time, we hope we don't have the transformer issues that some people have. Initially, I was concerned that the 20 watt bulbs might not be bright enough. Now, I prefer them. If I want a lot of light for cleaning daylight is best, but we have bright light above the sink, the eat in area and the stove. Plus, we added cabinet lighting. They look great! Installation worked well. We had only 2 issues: 1) One kit didn't include the small allen (sp?) wrench, but we had it in the other. 2) 2 of the light assemblies didn't work. We swapped out a bulb in one, so think it might be the assembly. Maybe we can get them to work, but since we only used 8 lights we didn't spend a lot of time trouble-shooting.
I'm not sure where to start. The install is quit simple, but really flawed with the hardware they give you. EZ anchors are not designed to hold tension. I doubted them when I pulled them out of the box, but I tried them any ways. Not to my surprise two of them pulled out of the wall when you try to tighten the cable. Do yourself a favor and install the wall mounts with toggle bolts, afterwards I could tighten the cable super tight. The second issue is that the lamps color are not the same. I have 4 white/blue lamps and one red. Really throws things off. I'm not sure why these don't come with LED. They make for good art lighting, I would not recommend if you are try to light something you really need lighting for.
This was exactly what I was hoping for in this product. It looks amazing in my office. I am using the product for moderate lighting in a 120 sqft room. (Basically warm ambient light so I can see my keyboard in my office). The installation isn't bad if you are used to home projects. It is obviously more involved than just hanging a lamp. Use a level and a tape measure when hanging the mounting brackets. I also was able to do a mod (unapproved) to hang the lights 3 ft from the ceiling mount. I just used leftover wire to connect to the mount instead of the wire provided. If you try it, you just have to make sure you insulate the wire as it passes through the base (only for the adventurous). In general, if you get flickering, look for shorts between the two sides of the wires. But I really like this fixture!
High end look without breaking bank. Bought 2 and upgraded to 7w leds and worked a charm with dimmer. Installed myself, pretty straight forward if you are comfortable with electrical otherwise have licensed electrician do it.
Great kit for the money! If you are looking for a modern solution for lighting you won't be sorry if you buy this kit. My electrician was impressed by the quality and ease of installation. DIYer's would have little problem with it. We were having our kitchen redone and lighting was part of the work. We just let the contractor handle it and it was a great decision.
Looks pretty good, and easy to install especially if you know anything about electricity. First bulb blew within 30 minutes of use. Be advised you will be replacing bulbs. If you want more lights buy lower wattage LEDs to replace the halogens and they will run cooler, last longer and allow you to place more lights.
Very nice, lamp rings do not have a perfect fit, but overall value is great.
This is a really great kit. I have two of them lighting my hallways. Able to direct light to my wife's photo gallery on the wall and still have some pointing up (high skylights) for general lighting. The only drawback is the overall wattage. You can't expect to light a very big space with these but for spotlighting it works great. Make sure to get the brackets mounted securely to the wall. If you are going to ceiling mount them best to make sure you are secured to a joist or the posts will not stay vertically mounted. Fixtures are fairly cheap but they are simple and unobtrusive.
It is solid and well made and as advertised - delightful!!
There were problems with missing parts and we ordered 3 sets of these lights. Each set was missing very minute screws that made the light bulbs light up. Without those screws, the light would not light. One set was completely returned, to be replaced by a set that still had missing items. We finally got all three working properly and they look wonderful in our office.
Wonderful product that works just as you would expect. I think the value is outstanding!
