But one thing you should not forget is that within the case is the important components of the computer and as such it should have sufficient space for the cooling elements to be installed and in the case of gamer's additional ports to enable the use of various devices. It goes without saying the most important component within the case is the Motherboard and if you had to face the problem of this important element going out of order you will know how frustrating it can be. The manufacture of the computer motherboard is a long and tedious process with the latest of them having the most innovative technology incorporated to enable users to carry out tasks that were not possible with earlier motherboards.
Certain components such as the sound card and graphics card were never integrated into the computers of the early days but the one's being designed today, be it a laptop or desktop PC, have these important components inbuilt to the motherboard. Keep in mind however that it's only the high end motherboards that can provide you with the best performance whereas you can hardly expect advanced technology to be integrated into a cheap motherboard.
Something else no one pays much attention to; is the computer power supply. For us non-technical users, all we're bothered about is plugging one end of the cable to the power supply and wait for the machine to boot. We hardly worry about how it happens and what goes on inside. In case you didn't know, what the computer power supply does it converts AC current into DC for the computer to start working. The various wires and cables that are attached to important components are all located within the motherboard which acts like an electric circuit to provide power to all parts within the computer.
Another component of importance, especially to a certain category of people is the graphics card which is used to carry out various tasks such as playing video games, creating graphics, video and movie editing etc. for which you will need a high end graphics card. Although today's computers are integrated with this card, the above tasks require extra graphics power although what is provided initially is more than enough for simple chores such as e-mailing, surfing the web and chatting with friends, etc.
If you're still using the old fashioned CRT monitor, you must be thinking of changing it for a better looking LCD or LED monitor that are not only streamlined and sleek but also saves a lot of energy in the long term. Sometime back, the LCD monitor was in great demand due to the bright colors and clear images it displayed. But it did have a drawback and that was its inability to display the right tone of black. The LED monitor is very similar to the LCD with the only differences being in the display of perfect black and the monitor being even slimmer than the LCD. They are however much more expensive resulting in most people settling for the LCD monitor in homes and for personal use.
